Situational Awareness

Working on situational awareness. I picked up this new drill from attending @edsmanifesto class. This drill was designed to train police officers. I revamped it to teach sword fighters awareness and control. The person without the helmet is the distraction and is not to be attacked. The two in the red helmets are on the same team and are supposed to communicate with each other to take down the blue helmet. This drill really opened student’s eyes and inspired some great conversations. We are all about laying the foundation for smart fighters who are capable of evaluating and making fast decisions. #ironside #ironsidemc #ironsidemedievalcombat
