Eggs are one of those foods that has gone through the full gambit of fitness fads. Back in the sixties and seventies it was the protein drink of choice for aspiring athletes. Just take the original “Rocky” movie as an example. As my beloved childhood hero is in the throws of training he guzzles 4 raw eggs to start off his day. Then unfortunately, eggs got a bad rep and in comes the age of protein drinks. However, I was excited to see the fabulous “The Rock” chugging down raw eggs in his movie “Hobbs and Shaw 2.”
Eggs are one of my favorite breakfast foods. I eat them almost every day. Meal prep, and cooking can be a major pain. Not all of us are blessed with a modern day Martha Stewart in the kitchen with extra time on our hands. My breakfast is a quick and easy one. I usually pack two raw eggs in a container and take it to work with me. Once I get settled in I crack the eggs into the container, put the lid on, then shake it up James Bond style. Once the eggs are scrambled I microwave it for a minute in a half. Instant breakfast, quick, easy, and good for you.
If you are feeling hungry there are any number of ways to spice up your eggs. You can go simple with a little salt and pepper. Get exotic with some salsa and cheese. Maybe you like a classic with a little bacon bits. If you like to live dangerously you could even try my favorite ranch dressing ….don’t dis it until you try it!
