Friday Drill 3/15 – March of the Drills

Every weekday we are providing free training drills for any fighter that would like to improve their skills or perspective fighters to start their training.  These drills are a just a piece of our overall training system.  For today’s drill it would be best if you did this with a group of people.

Footwork Game

The footwork game focuses on developing a fighter’s balance during a spontaneous event. Fighters start of walking around the area practicing any type of footwork steps they want.  When they hear “down” they immediately drop into a squat and touch the floor.  If their weight isn’t balanced between their feet dropping into a squat will be difficult.  It is important for a fighter to keep their weight balanced between their feet as they move around in a fight.  This drill helps develop this balance.
