Every weekday we are providing free training drills for any fighter that would like to improve their skills or perspective fighters to start their training. These drills are a just a piece of our overall training system. For today’s drill it would be best if you did this with a group of people.
The footwork game focuses on developing a fighter’s balance during a spontaneous event. Fighters start off walking around the area practicing any type of footwork steps they want. When they hear “down” they immediately drop into a squat and touch the floor. If their weight isn’t balanced between their feet dropping into a squat will be difficult. It is important for a fighter to keep their weight balanced between their feet as they move around in a fight. This drill helps develop this balance.
